Voor het Service Center in Etten-Leur zijn wij op zoek naar een nieuwe collega in de rol van Voorman Inspection Repair. De Voorman Inspection Repair rapporteert aan de Supervisor Product Development.

Functieomschrijving:

• Leidinggeven aan de afdeling Inspectie van de S&R afdeling.
• Verantwoordelijk voor de dagelijkse uitvoering van inspectiewerkzaamheden, juiste inspectierapporten en (aanleveren van) relevante documenten.
• Inspecteert en controleert volgens specificaties, tekeningen en overige documenten, de ter reparatie aangeboden pompen, compressoren, turbines en aanverwante producten. Deze werkzaamheden kunnen zowel op de locatie Etten-Leur als bij de klant op locatie uitgevoerd moeten worden.
• Geven van reparatieadviezen aan klanten en medewerkers.
• Initiëren van verbeterde reparatiemethoden en -procedures.
• Functioneringsgesprekken houden met de medewerkers van de Inspectie afdeling.
• Verantwoordelijk voor de juiste inzetbaarheid van medewerkers en personele bezetting.
• Houden van werkoverleg, toolboxmeetings en werkplaatsinspecties.
• Werkt nauw samen met de Kennis Manager, Project Managers en de Productieleiding om de kwaliteit van het Service Center op een hoog niveau te houden en verbetertrajecten te begeleiden.
• Toezicht houden op de veiligheid.

Functie-eisen:

• HTS-WTB of MTS-WTB met relevante ervaring op het gebied van Rotating Equipment
• 3 – 5 jaar leidinggevende ervaring
• Gedegen materiaalkennis
• Kennis van ADME IX en NDO-onderzoeken
• Gedegen kennis van de (technische) Engelse taal in woord en geschrift, Duits is een pré
• Computervaardigheden: ervaring met Word, Excel, Oracle is een pré

Functie omschrijving

The Test Engineering Supervisor is responsible for a group of test engineers who conduct performance acceptance tests of bare pumps and complete pump units, according national and international standards, Flowserve internal procedures and customer specifications. He coordinates and plans the daily work of the test engineering department related to the design of test loops, the creation of pump performance and complete unit string test procedures, the execution of all in-house and customer witnessed pump performance and complete unit string tests and the collection of all relevant test data in accurate and concise technical reports to show that the pumps and complete pump units are in compliance with Flowserve quality standards and contractual requirements.

Reporting Structure: Incumbent will report to Product Engineering Manager

Responsibility:

The incumbent’s activities are primarily related to the test engineering activities for customer orders. Test planning is done in close cooperation with the production department, responsible for test loop assembly, and with the order fulfillment and logistics departments, responsible for meeting on time delivery of pumps and pump units. Test results are reported back to the product engineering department and the director engineering for hydraulic evaluation in order to improve future reference material, and for mechanical evaluation of the behavior of the pump at test in order to determine the integrity of the pump in the field. The incumbent is also responsible for supporting the product engineering department with hydraulic review in the bidding and order confirmation phase and for supporting prompt resolution of major technical field problems during the warranty period. Besides proven management skills, the position requires a broad knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic engineering, a general interest in instrumentation and software used for verification testing, and a clear awareness of the safety requirements for people working with high pressure, high power, and high voltage equipment.

• Lead, coach and manage a team of +/- 4 test engineers. 
• Coordinate the work in the team and monitor the progress of individual and team tasks. 
• Coordinate a minimum of 20 hours per annum training in product range and technical skills. 
• Organize and report monthly department meetings. 
• Conduct performance reviews in a timely, fair and consistent manner, including mid-year and year-end written documentation. 
• Pro-actively address recognition, coaching and progressive discipline needs that arise. 
• Motivate the team to bring the whole test department to a higher level of expertise. 
• Coordinate efficient communication with other departments. 
• Follow Flowserve standards and safety procedures. 
• Coordinate that all equipment and software used by testing is up to date and properly calibrated.
• Write procurement specifications in case new or updated test equipment or software is required. 
  
  
• Review and evaluate customer specifications related to technical acceptability of quotations and booked orders from a testing perspective, including the hydraulic selection and mechanical design features that may have an impact on the performance of the pump (unit) during testing. 
• On-time submittal of pump performance and complete unit string test procedures in compliance with contractual requirements and Flowserve standards and procedures. 
  Implement contract variations after review and acceptance, from a testing perspective. 
  
  
• Select required test loop and design the order specific layout in order to conduct the pump performance and/or complete unit string tests as per customer approved procedures. 
• Prepare requests to product engineering for providing additional required test materials. 
• Assist with test loop physical activities as required 
  
  
• Execute all in-house and customer witnessed pump performance and complete unit string tests. 
• Achieve a minimum of 85% delivery against deadlines outlined in the master schedule. 
• Collect all relevant test data in accurate and concise technical reports for the customer to show that the pumps and complete pump units are in compliance with contractual requirements. 
• On-time submittal of pump performance and complete unit string test results to the customer.

Provide feedback of test results to the product engineering department for hydraulic and mechanical evaluation of the pump ranges that Etten-Leur has LPO responsibility for, in order to improve future reference material for quoting, manufacturing and packaging these products worldwide. 
Provide weekly accountability figures of the test department to the product engineering manager. 

Support product engineering, CSOA and Service & Repair departments whenever necessary. 
Conduct root cause analysis and establish accurate and high quality reports whenever necessary. 
Supporting prompt resolution of major technical field problems during the warranty period.


Challenges:

Execution of high quality pump performance and complete unit string tests within the established time schedule and within the project budget in order to contribute to: 

• Reduction in the number of required (re)tests 
• The on-time delivery goal

Position requirements:

Education: Technical education at a level of bachelor in mechanical engineering as a minimum. Knowledge and general interest in electrical engineering / instrumentation is a plus.
Industry: Knowledge of the petrochemical industry in general. An extended knowledge of the specifications/requirements applicable in this industry is a plus.
Experience: The function requires a 3 - 5 years working experience within a customer oriented environment. Practical experience in engineering, manufacturing or factory acceptance testing of rotating equipment is a plus.
Competence: To be able to communicate at all levels in the organization, up to the operations management level, as well as with customers during witnessed testing.
