The Test Engineering Supervisor is responsible for a group of test engineers who conduct performance acceptance tests of bare pumps and complete pump units, according national and international standards, Flowserve internal procedures and customer specifications.
The Test Engineering Supervisor is responsible for a group of test engineers who conduct performance acceptance tests of bare pumps and complete pump units, according national and international standards, Flowserve internal procedures and customer specifications. He coordinates and plans the daily work of the test engineering department related to the design of test loops, the creation of pump performance and complete unit string test procedures, the execution of all in-house and customer witnessed pump performance and complete unit string tests and the collection of all relevant test data in accurate and concise technical reports to show that the pumps and complete pump units are in compliance with Flowserve quality standards and contractual requirements.
Reporting Structure: Incumbent will report to Product Engineering Manager
Responsibility:
The incumbent’s activities are primarily related to the test engineering activities for customer orders. Test planning is done in close cooperation with the production department, responsible for test loop assembly, and with the order fulfillment and logistics departments, responsible for meeting on time delivery of pumps and pump units. Test results are reported back to the product engineering department and the director engineering for hydraulic evaluation in order to improve future reference material, and for mechanical evaluation of the behavior of the pump at test in order to determine the integrity of the pump in the field. The incumbent is also responsible for supporting the product engineering department with hydraulic review in the bidding and order confirmation phase and for supporting prompt resolution of major technical field problems during the warranty period. Besides proven management skills, the position requires a broad knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic engineering, a general interest in instrumentation and software used for verification testing, and a clear awareness of the safety requirements for people working with high pressure, high power, and high voltage equipment.
Provide feedback of test results to the product engineering department for hydraulic and mechanical evaluation of the pump ranges that Etten-Leur has LPO responsibility for, in order to improve future reference material for quoting, manufacturing and packaging these products worldwide.
Provide weekly accountability figures of the test department to the product engineering manager.
Support product engineering, CSOA and Service & Repair departments whenever necessary.
Conduct root cause analysis and establish accurate and high quality reports whenever necessary.
Supporting prompt resolution of major technical field problems during the warranty period.

Position requirements:
Education: Technical education at a level of bachelor in mechanical engineering as a minimum. Knowledge and general interest in electrical engineering / instrumentation is a plus.
Industry: Knowledge of the petrochemical industry in general. An extended knowledge of the specifications/requirements applicable in this industry is a plus.
Experience: The function requires a 3 - 5 years working experience within a customer oriented environment. Practical experience in engineering, manufacturing or factory acceptance testing of rotating equipment is a plus.
Competence: To be able to communicate at all levels in the organization, up to the operations management level, as well as with customers during witnessed testing.

The QHSE Manager is responsible for and has commensurate authority to accomplish the fulfillment of the following principle accountabilities: Developing, implementing and maintaining a quality assurance / quality control system based on the requirements of ISO 9001 and in line with divisional standards, product performance, customer requirements and company’s objectives. On an as needed basis shared responsibility is provided to other European facilities related to Quality Assurance matters. Ensuring implementation of the company’s quality policy and verifying this implementation through internal audits. Developing, implementing and maintaining a safety, health and environmental system based on the Dutch regulations and the certification requirements of VCA. He is responsible for internal and external audits and the corrective actions as a result of this.
